Actually I wanted to write a short storybut I quickly noticed that fiction began to merge with reality. The "story" is about how we dress. In the big cities nobody cares how you look. In the small cities your "dressed life" can be gauntlet, because you HAVE TO look like a nobody. Than it is ok and you are part of the officially standard. But let us be brave and wear what we want!

Midnight talk.

Last Wednesday me and my friends from work had a small "meeting". As you see very cozy. I know I still have to practice taking pictures at night (as you see). But I have to say I like these warm colors a lot.

Let me introduce you to the MAD MEN.

Source Picture 1 2
Fine ladies and gentlemen show up in the U.S. series (2007) MAD MEN.
The viewer finds himself in the early 1960s in New York City. The main focus is put on the fictional advertising agency Sterling Cooper and their employees, their dependents and the immediate environment.
The main character is the attractive and talented Donald (short: Don) Draper: women adore him and his colleagues burst with envy because of his professional success.
Everything seems like a perfectly illuminated scenery: beautiful women, even more beautiful dresses, great cars, fancy houses, idyllic family life which is maintained by the busy housewives and helpful neighbors. The "American Dream" presented on a golden platter et voilà!
Behind the scenes: jealousy, not so perfect housewives with mental health problems, fraud, concealed identities.
And do not forget: consumption of alcohol in vast quantities: the glass of water or cup of coffee becomes a strong cocktail, and this non-stop. And who really likes to breathe fresh, clean air? The MAD MEN certainly not, because in the whole series, there is hardly a second that does not glow a cigarette. It's just ironic that Don Draper and his colleagues have problems to bring the cigarette with honest means to the man for a big customer at the beginning.
The series is about men with big ideas, "honeys" in advertising agencies, whose highest goal would be to go with one of their chiefs to bed, and a breathtakingly beautiful scenery (of course including the magnificent robes of the ladies).

Bon appetite.

    Pepper with zucchini-rice stuffing.
Gnocchi with zucchini-coconut sauce and parmesan.
    Potato salad.
    Herb butter with nasturtium.

I´m totally in love with photographing food. I know maybe it´s a little bit strange but I think it makes fun looking at such pictures. For me it´s a special form of aesthetics.

I can shout louder than you.

During our stay in Hamburg suddenly my friends and I were part of a colorful parade with odd music and crazy people: it was the Christopher Street Day.

You make me smile.

My family means a lot to me. They are my base, my joy, my safety, my confidence. It is something that I do not want to miss. I know I can rely on them and they are always there for me. They support me in all the things that I do even if not everything works.
I know that there are some people who can not understand my connection to my family and why I spend so much time with them. But who can tell me how much time we will have together?

The photo is from yesterday: the sunniest first October in my life. You can see my dad and my nephew. I've never met a child that was more photogenic (as you can see in the photos here).

Collar and bow.

This is my new outfit from COS. It´s a single blue collar which you can wear with blouses for example. The top is something between a dress and a blouse (you need a skirt under). For me the collar is a fantastic garment because it makes an outfit look special and individual.
